Composite Prepreg

Kumair offers carbon fiber and fiberglass prepreg made in the US by APCM. We have many standard materials to choose from including 3k and 12k wovens, as well as 300 and 600 gsm uni-directional for quickly building up thick carbon fiber panels. Prepreg offers many advantages over wet layup processing in terms of consistency and mechanical properties.

 

Carbon Fiber Rapid Prototyping

Kumair offers rapid fabrication services for your prototype and low-volume production carbon fiber parts. Utilizing 3D printed molds, we are able to work with customers to refine their design, make the molds, and fabricate fully functional rapid prototype carbon fiber parts in as little as two weeks. Both low temperature and high temperature (including prepreg) options are available.

CNC Machining

The Kumair team includes experts in CNC machining of plastic, metal, and carbon fiber composites parts and assemblies. Kumair partners with Pemberton Raceworks, one of the leading manufacturers of oval track radio controlled race cars, to offer a complete CNC machining solution. With decades of experience machining carbon fiber and other composites, such as fiberglass and aramid (Kevlar®), the people at Kumair and Pemberton will have the solution for your project. Kumair offers CNC machining services ranging from prototype quantities to full production runs.

Engineering and Analysis

The engineers at Kumair have over 20 years of experience in engineering and analysis, in particular the design of carbon fiber composites and aerodynamics. Kumair typically offers engineering as part of a manufacturing project, but can also offer PhD-level carbon fiber design and aerodynamics consulting as a stand-alone service.
