There are a variety of applications within audio reproduction for which the lightweight, high rigidity properties of carbon fiber offer significant advantages. One such avenue Kumair has explored is with the development of a first-of-its-kind titanium-core composite turntable platter. Our platters contain three key advantages:

• Increased Rotational Inertia - Greater mass compared to glass, acrylic, Delrin®, and MDF. This increases rotational inertia and improves speed stability.
• Vibrational Damping – A high-density material like our titanium-core is needed to adequately damp vibrations.
• Maintain OEM Dimensions – A high stiffness to weight ratio material like carbon fiber is needed to ensure that the exact OEM dimensions of the turntable platter can be maintained.
